Apply now for grants for Research4Life training activities in low-income countries
The Medical Library Association (MLA) is now accepting applications for the MLA Librarians without Borders® / Elsevier Foundation / Research4Life Grants. Applications will be open until December 1, 2020.
Funded by the Elsevier Foundation, the MLA Librarians without Borders® grants support training activities that promote the use of the scientific resources available in Research4Life in low-income countries. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage individuals to submit proposals for digital trainings. Projects could include creating new training modules or videos, organizing an online course on Research4Life targeting specific audiences, or other initiatives that promote the Research4Life programs and their training resources.
Through its five programs (Hinari, AGORA, OARE, ARDI and GOALI), Research4Life provides researchers at more than 10,000 institutions in over 125 low- and middle-income countries with affordable online access to 119,000 leading journals and books in the fields of health, agriculture, environment, applied sciences and legal information from 160 publisher partners.
Grants range from $1,500 to $5,000 and will be distributed in June 2021. The proposed project should be completed by December 1, 2020. Individuals or institutions involved in any aspect of Research4Life are encouraged to apply.
