Study: Women encounter inequality in science & technology fields

The presence of women in the fields of science, technology and innovation remains significantly lower than for men, even in some of the world’s wealthiest regions, according to new research. The study (National Assessments and Benchmarking of Gender, Science, Technology and Innovation) assessed the level of support, opportunities and participation of women in science in the world’s leading knowledge-based economies: the European Union, the United States, Brazil, South Africa, India, Korea and Indonesia.
