Since its establishment in 2005, the Elsevier Foundation contributes over $1 million a year in grants to support over 100 partners in more than 70 countries around the world. The Elsevier Foundation works to champion inclusive research and health through partnerships with non-profit organizations that incubate new approaches to catalyze change and contribute toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On a day to day basis, the Elsevier Foundation is run by a small core team, and its governed by its Board.

Funded by Elsevier, a global leader for advanced information and decision support in science and healthcare, the Elsevier Foundation is a key part of the company’s commitment to advance inclusive research and healthcare, in partnership with the communities that it serves. In addition to funding, Elsevier supports the work of the Foundation through its networks, data, analytical insights and employee contributions to greatly expand our impact.

Over the past two decades, the Elsevier Foundation has also provided a special fund to support disaster relief, match employee donations, stimulate volunteering to enable Elsevier employees to work more closely with the Elsevier Foundation partners.
