OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Alumnae recognized for their contributions to advancing the SDGs in Asia
We are proud to share that Dr. Tista Prasai Joshi, 2020 OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Awards alumna, has been recognized in the publication “Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Advancing SDGs in Asia”.
The book, compiled by the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Committee of the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA), spotlights women scientists who have contributed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Asia.
The publication was launched on May 28, 2026, during the 4th AASSA Symposium and the 58th KAST International Symposium in Seoul – which highlighted the roles and achievements of the women scientists featured in the volume, along withe WISE Committee’s related activities.
We also congratulate Dr. Prasai Joshi and Dr. Sarmila Tandukar (2025 OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Alumna) for their inclusion into the 11th Edition of Asian Scientist 100. Every year since 2016, Asian Scientist Magazine compiles a list of Asia’s most outstanding researchers across a range of scientific disciplines.
